Back to School August 31, 2010
As the kids head back to school this week we are filled with mixed emotions. Joy, excitement, relief, fear, sadness, pride…just to name a few. We’d love to hear how it’s going for you as you send your kiddos back to school this week…leave us a comment!
This poem goes out to all you back to school moms out there!
Twas the night before school started,
When all through the town,
The parents were cheering.
It was a riotous sound!
By eight, kids were washed
And tucked into bed…
When memories of homework…filled them with dread!
New pencils, new folders, new notebooks, too!
New teachers, new friends…their anxiety grew!
The parents just giggled when they learned of this fright
And shouted upstairs-…
GO TO BED-IT’S A SCHOOL NIGHT!

As I send two of my three boys off to school this year, I look forward to running errands with just the little one! Simple pleasures
My 2nd grader reported to grandma that the best thing about school this year is that he gets to see his big brother at BOTH recesses! Cute boys!!!
